World Pediatric Stroke Association

July 10, 2019

Description

Just like the Pediatric Stroke Warriors, the World Pediatric Stroke Association (WPSA) brands a vibrant display of purple throughout their website. The main page gets right to the point in asking for help by stating in large text, “Awareness Begins With You”. Instead of asking for a donation under their large call for action, they simply ask you to join their Facebook group called the WPSA Action Facebook Group. They do have a donate tab, if you wish to do so, along with tabs about the nonprofit, education & outreach, and their blog.

Resources

For resources, the WPSA has tabs on what’s new, partnerships, and speaking engagements. They display some of their accomplishments on the main page such as being named “one of the top 10 blogs to assist with recovery” by the Medical News Today publication. They also share some of “What’s New”, informing visitors that the World Pediatric Stroke Awareness Week for 2019 was from May 4th to May 10th.

Speaking Engagements

The WPSA offers something many other nonprofits do not. While they have numerous big name partners and continue to grow exponentially, they still allow visitors of the site to potentially reach the founder, Jessica Spear, and arrange for her to speak, in-person, for a group near you. This is under the ‘Speaking Engagements” tab, along with a calendar to select a date. You, then, click on the email address link to message her with the details of your request and group. It claims you should expect a response ASAP.
