Pediatric Stroke Warriors

July 10, 2019

Description

As you may associate the color red with the American Heart Association and pink with breast cancer awareness, the Pediatric Stroke Warriors (PSW) intend for you to associate purple with the nonprofit’s goal of stroke education and prevention. It is dominantly displayed through the website’s text, background, and overall design. Their mission is to serve “the needs of children, their families and the medical professionals involved in their care”. Above the extended mission statement you can find an easy way to donate through the large box claiming ‘Your Support Matters”, some information on how commonly strokes occur in children, with a “Donate Today” to click.

Resources

While the website is filled with educational links on strokes and children, it also includes many useful resources for parents or anyone who wants to help or get help. These resources include links such as ‘Family Support’, ‘Outreach & Education’, and ways to ‘Get Involved’. Side links include ‘PSW Helping Hands Therapy Grant Program’, ‘Warrior Bag & Brave Box program’, and 2 publications from the PSW.

Together, We Continue To Make A Difference

Under the title “Together, we continue to make a difference!”, the PSW lists numerous accomplishments they’ve made since their establishment to ease the minds of potential supporters and let them know their time or money will not be wasted. Founded in 2015, this nonprofit has accomplished so much in less than 4 short years. For example, they established the Pediatric Stroke Fund with Seattle Children’s Hospital for emergency financial aid to families affected and in need.
