Description

The Stroke Riskometer app comes with the support of licensed medical doctors. Instead of designing entirely from the knowledge of developers, the company chose to use the knowledge of doctors to take the results you receive to the next level. In 2014, the AppRx Awards by HealthTap titled the app “Doctor Recommended” and gave it the “Top App in Category” award.

Overview

Rather than waiting for days to assess your risk of a stroke, the Stroke Riskometer determines your risk in just a few minutes. They don’t apply standard results to the most users. The app uses a personalized system of 20 scientifically tested questions for patients between the ages of 20 to 90+. You can also opt to join the global community feature. This allows you better understand stroke, diabetes mellitus, heart attack, and dementia by collaborating with people in over 160 countries.

Quick Results

Arguably one of the most favored features, the Stroke Riskometer’s quick turnaround time provides almost immediate knowledge and convenience. When you take your test, you don’t have the hassle of waiting in doctors’ offices or having to return days later for your results. After a few minutes the app lets you know your risk levels and how to maintain or improve them.

Personalized Test

The test you take doesn’t deliver the same results for everyone. This is the personalization feature that accommodates your unique situation. After answering 20 questions, the Stroke Riskometer takes the answers and delivers specific results for all users between the ages of 20-90+.

Global Community

The researchers who assisted in the app’s development are also performing a study to help patients better understand the risk factors associated with stroke, diabetes mellitus, heart attack, and dementia. You can choose to be a part of this study and aid in stroke prevention across 160 countries.
