Stroke Ready – Optimizing Acute Stroke Care

Overview

The goal of this clinical trial is to increase acute stroke treatment rates in Flint, Michigan through a two-pronged approach of hospital and community level interventions. It also attempts to inform future stroke preparedness interventions by exploring the relative importance of hospital optimization and community interventions. It aims to treat strokes better when they happen, immediately, and educate more people on how to treat patients who have just suffered a stroke.

 

Study Information

This is an interventional, sequential assignment with the primary purposes of health services research. There is an estimated 3000 participants. The study began on June 20, 2018 and is estimated to be completed by May 30, 2021.

 

Inclusion Criteria

 

  • Adult stroke patients, ages 18 and older, who presented to one of three hospitals in the Flint community.

  • None
